Restrictions on sale of
medicines: Legislation permits Greenbelt
Veterinary Services Ltd. to sell medicines only for
use in animals that are under our care or of which we have
direct knowledge. The law requires that a “Veterinarian –
Client – Patient Relationship (VCPR) exists before we can
prescribe or dispense medicine to the client. This means
that, except in emergencies, a Greenbelt veterinarian must
have enough knowledge about the animal(s) and its(their)
care to make at least an initial preliminary diagnosis.
This knowledge must be acquired by either recently examining
the animal(s) or by attending to the animal(s) during
regular barn visits where the animals are kept and
collecting information about the animal(s) condition and
care.
Credit: we
are pleased to extend credit to customers that qualify.
Current policy provides credit for up to 30 days after the
end of the month in which the transaction occurred. Beyond
this interest is charged at 2% per month.
Delivery
is arranged at cost using W7 Delivery where distance
to the farm is an issue.
Large
Orders – we encourage clients to phone, fax, or
email orders to the office ahead allowing our staff to
prepare the order. This will minimize the wait time for
you. We can provide order forms for the customer. |
